2008 Beauty Diploma Students Graduate
Congratulations, to the first intake of 2008 Independent Beauty Specialist Diploma students who graduated this week from the Media Makeup School, after they all successfully completed the thirteen week course.
Students have learnt to about skincare and facials, waxing, manicures, pedicures, cosmetic makeup application for days and nights, eyebrow shaping, eyebrow and eyelash tinting techniques, professional ethics, anatomy and physiology, hygiene, health and safety, contra-indications and contra-actions, client consultations and much more.
Sonia Homer commented “I extremely enjoyed my course. Very professional and informative.
Aimee Aspinall said “This course was intensive and provide all the necessary theory and practical experience needed to complete the beauty course”.
The Media Make-up Artist School is an advanced professional media make-up artistry and beauty training school; and provides a centre of learning excellence. The school offers an exciting opportunity to study an extensive range of professional cosmetic make-up and beauty courses set in the context of film, TV, and fashion & photographic make-up. Seasoned award winning film makeup artists trust us with their development.
All the courses are accredited, approved and recognised by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists for there excellence. Students successfully completing the courses can apply for full membership of the Guild and use the initials M.G.P.B.T (Member of the Professional Guild of Beauty Therapists) on registration with the Guild and the courses are covered by the Guilds insurance policy..
Models are provided for delegates to work on and rotated between students for portfolio photographic purposes, and this ensures that delegates work with different skin types and skin colourings and forms the basis of an essential working portfolio. All demo’s and work created by delegates are photographed using Nikon photographic equipment in the photographic studio and hard copies are provided for use in delegate’s portfolios. By doing this our students leave our courses with the basis of a professional portfolio to industry standard allowing them to promote themselves and gain work. All materials, tools, props, accessories and products required to complete the course are supplied for general use, during the practical sessions.
The courses will appeal to anyone with a flair and passion for make-up artistry or beauty, and will also benefit those associated with the beauty industry such as Beauty Therapists, Hairdressers, Nail technicians and mobile therapists, who may wish to offer bridal, portrait, commercial and special occasion make-up as part of their services. As a short course student delegates will benefit from excellent resources and equipment and the courses are offered throughout the year as daytime, evening and weekend courses.
All the courses are offered on a modular basis so if delegates start on a cosmetic make-up certificate and decide at later date that they wish to move on to the foundation certificate in make-up, they will gain an exemption from the modules that they have already undertaken.
The flexible approach means that delegates can learn the skills and competencies that they require, when they want or need them and they can continue developing their skills at any time and a large percentage of the students return for further training to expand their skills bases, when they need them. The school teaches qualified students that have previously attended other colleges and schools such as the Carlton Institute and London College of Fashion.
The philosophy of the school is to teach delegates how to achieve perfection using an approach, which is exclusive to the school and is why the school has a five star rating for the training courses from the delegates...
