Asian Bridal Techniques
£300
1 day: 9.30am - 4.30pm
Number of students: 1-2
This course has been designed for those that already have hair and make-up skills but would like to learn the specific techniques for Asian bridal hair, make-up and dressing. Beginners are welcome but there will only be one make-up look covered along with one main hairstyle, so for those with no previous hair and makeup experience I would recommend completing the Techniques of Makeup Artistry and Styling For Long Hair course beforehand in order to gain the basic knowledge first. Once you have completed all three courses you will have the diverse skills to accommodate the majority of your potential clients who will usually book you for all of their wedding functions. Your clients will request different hair and make-up looks for each event, so it is important that you are prepared for these expectations when you start working.
The hairstyling taught on this course is different to what is taught on Styling For Long Hair. This course focuses on the hairstyles and techniques used to create different types of height and shape for when the hair is being covered.
We also teach bridal saree and dupatta/chunni dressing because many brides will want their make-up artist to be able to carry their bridal service all the way through to the dressing. Without this skill you are just narrowing down your market and we want you to leave this course with the skills to accommodate everyone.
This course requires you to bring your own model or we can supply one for an additional cost, please contact us for more info. All make-up, brushes and equipment will be supplied for your use during the class time. A set of handouts covering all the teachings during the course will be given to each student for future reference. You may find it useful to bring writing materials and a camera.
Students are taught by demonstration followed by practical sessions working directly onto a model. This course is only taught as a one to one or maximum of two students for full teaching attention.
