An inspirational and intensive accredited course intended for those wishing to train and practice a broad range of make-up techniques. This comprehensive and highly informative course provides an excellent base for those with no previous experience wishing to enter the profession and practice on a commercial basis. It provides the founding principles in professional skills through to more advanced techniques including an introduction to photographic make-up and working in a studio with a professional photographer. Fashion make-up is introduced in both historical and contemporary contexts from the 1920s to 2000.
The course will also be of particular interest to those looking for a career change, or wishing to refresh and update. It will also prepare you for advanced training and is recommended as a pre-requisite to the Media and Fashion Make-up certificate and optional Portfolio Development day in our photographic studio.
You will gain both practical and theoretical application experience and an essential understanding of how to prepare the skin and apply make-up for a variety of professional work as a make-up artist.
Attendance requires 5 consecutive days training. Duration 16 weeks to develop a professional diploma portfolio (with expert guidence).
