Discount Cosmetics Specialist To Help Retailers Take Advantage Of Downturn.

Discount cosmetics specialist BYS is to target small and independent retailers with their new ‘Hotspot’ make-up displays.

The stands offer a wide range of products, from nail varnish to lip gloss, and are small enough to sit on a counter top or shelf. BYS are also offering a 100% mark up across the range, which retails at between £1.50 and £3.00.

Leicester-based ProvenLook is owner of the UK and Ireland online franchise of BYS, which stands for Be Your Self. They believe the stands give retailers the chance to offer something different and take advantage of the economic downturn.

ProvenLook MD Darren Jones said: “Make-up is something women will not compromise on, even in a recession when cash is tight. However they may be inclined to try something at a lower price point, as long as the quality is there.

“None of our products retail higher than £3, and our customers tell us the product range compares favourably with big brands like Benefit, Clinique, Lancome and Rimmel – at about half the price.

“The Hotspot displays would be perfect for any small retailer with a limited amount of space in their store, and develop another possible revenue stream.”

BYS is an Australian cosmetics manufacturer which now has a range of over 600 products. They are developed in Melbourne and shipped worldwide via partners like ProvenLook and their UK distributor Bradgate Products.

Their products are available in the UK, France, Australia, Kuwait and Finland.
