The facial therapy course is the foundation of all beautician courses. It has been carefully designed to provide a fundamental understanding of the subject through a combination of practical work and theory instruction. The aim is to enable you to progress in your career as a facial therapist whether you are an amateur looking to develop your skills or a professional wanting to update to current procedures.
Course content:
• Facial Therapy theory
• Client consultation, skin analysis & diagnosis & contra-indications
• Techniques, ingredients & application procedure
• Skin diseases and disorders theory
• Facial theory in anatomy & physiology
• Practical demonstrations in all principle routines such as cleanse, tone, steam, exfoliation, scrubs, masks, extraction
• Facial massage movements, benefits, effects & theory
• Learner practice in all treatments
• Preparation, aftercare and home care advice
You will need to supply a model for the final assessment where you will demonstrate your knowledge with a practical treatment.

Kit is provided for the course
Dress Code
Salon uniform, soft soled shoes, hair tied back of the face, light day make up, no jewellery. If you dont have a uniform you can wear a plain black top with plain black bottoms.

No prior experience is required though a keen interest in skin care will help students maximise on training potential

Kit Costs
All students are required to pay a charge for materials, books, uniform and where necessary a kit. These are costs that the college pays on behalf of the student and costs must be paid prior to the course commencing.
