The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) was founded in 1962 by the father of the ’beauty therapist’, Wallace Sharps who was instrumental in ensuring high standards in the beauty and relaxation industry.The FHT has been in existence for almost fifty years and has been at the forefront of developing therapy standards, professional conduct and therapist support in the United Kingdom. With a head office in Eastleigh, Hampshire, the company employs around 22 staff.

The Federation seeks to support, advance and protect the character, status and interests of complementary, beauty and sports therapists. We aim to establish and maintain high standards of treatment by holistic therapists for the benefit and protection of the public.
