Habia workshops for updated standards in Beauty, Nails and Spa Doncaster
The shape of future qualifications in beauty therapy, nail services and spa therapy will be explored at a series of workshops being held by Habia in February 2010. The workshops will look at key changes to the updated National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Beauty Therapy, Nail Services and Spa Therapy at Levels 1, 2 and 3, which form the basis of new qualifications being developed by awarding bodies for launch in July 2010. Dates and locations of the workshops are: Monday 8 February 2010 London Tuesday 9 February 2010 Manchester Thursday 11 February 2010 Doncaster Each workshop will run from 1pm to 4pm. As well as looking at the changes to the standards, the workshops will cover changes to the Assessment Strategies and Evidence Requirements. Tiffany Tarrant, Development Manager at Habia, said, ‘The standards are updated on a regular basis to make sure they reflect current industry practice, address skills gaps and give learners the knowledge that employers require them to have and which are necessary to contribute effectively to a business. For that reason, it is important that educators and training centres are up to date with their content and know what shape any qualifications based on the standards are likely to take'. Places on the workshop cost £125.00 plus VAT.* Cost of the workshops includes a free bound-copy of the updated standards and evidence requirements.
