This course is ideal for those with no professional make-up experience as we teach from the basic skills through to more advanced and dramatic make-up techniques.

Day 1: Natural Beauty

Identifying skin types and how to prepare the skin for make-up.

Concealers, colour correctors and light reflectors.
Basic eyebrow grooming.
Basic highlighting and shading for the eyes.
Colour selection to brighten the eyes and refresh the complexion.

Natural finish mascara and immaculate cleaning of the eyelashes used for close-up beauty shoots.

Day 2: Defined Beauty
10am-5pm
2 Looks: Working with colours, Sultry bronze and gold looks.
Applying cream foundations and sponge work.
Eyeshadow application and blending techniques for a defined look.
Colour theory - how to choose colours that blend together beautifully.
How to create sultry gold eyes.
Working with eye shapes and corrective work.
Various products, brushes and techniques for applying liquid eyeliner.
How to apply individual eyelashes for a graduated natural looking finish.
Cream blushers and shine highlighters.
Highlighting and shading the lips.

Day 3: Dramatic Beauty

2 Looks: Smokey eyes and dramatic looks.
Complete different method to applying foundations from the previous two days. Techniques used for doing close-up beauty shoots with immaculate finish to the skin. Foundation application for use on photoshoots, HDTV and film, for brides with dramatic looks and camouflage make-up.
Highlighting and shading the face using both creams and powders.
